I want to respond to some comments from a bitter Devils fan last night, in which she called the Bruins “the dirtiest team in the league.” Honey, take a look at the penalties. There weren’t too many. The Bruins are actually the TOUGHEST team in the league, and don’t mistake toughness for being dirty. If you want to see dirty, look no further than teams like Buffalo, Montreal, & Vancouver who will take cheap shots, when they think nobody is watching, and then hide behind the referees when their opponents come at them.
I am a Devils season ticket holder, so I was at the game last night. The Devils played great in the first two periods, then they fell apart, plain and simple. The Bruins were frustrated, but they kept playing their game. Chara completely locked Parise up, and Thomas stood on his head until the guys could get their shit together and get him some goals.
In summary, don’t take the cheap way out here. The Devils got beat by a very determined and tough team, also one of the best teams in the league, not to mention, defending Stanley Cup Champions.
Raise your hand if you’re tired of all those identical Get Glue MSG images showing up in New Jersey Devils tags. Ugh!
Why on earth would you blog that to Tumblr? Twitter I can understand, but it’s at the point of being half the tags lately.
